Jiang Shi Xiao is released from jail in Taiwan. He returns to Hong Kong immediately and tries to find his daughter Jiang You You so as to heal their relationship. By pretending to be friendly with the one who made him in jail, the gang leader To Yik Tin, Xiao is eager to get even with him, and also intends to draw two young policemen to his side in order to strengthen his influence. Lee Pak Kiu from the Emergency Unit is reluctant to get close with a gangster while Chung Lap Man from Special Duty Squad believes that Xiao could help them fight against Tin by acting as an informer. As a stockbroker, Wong Chi Chung (Michael Tse Tin Wah) is not cunning and tricky enough. Many of his customers have turned to the new securities firm in the same estate. Chung wants Chu to stop indulging in the stock market and they fight with each other all of the time. Feeling lost in both his career and marriage, Chung meets his puppy lover Koo Ka Chun (Joyce Tang Lai Ming) and discovers that she also works as a stockbroker.
